Alabama continues to build a strong 2022 recruiting class. On Wednesday night, four-star defensive tackle Jaheim Oatis out of Columbia High School in Mississippi.
The 6-foot-4, 349-pound space eater took to his social media to announce the news. According to his tweet, it was a good day, and the only thing he had to say was Roll Tide — fans are going to absolutely love this guy, I’m sure.

According to 247Sports, Oatis is rated as the nation’s No. 82 overall prospect, No. 8 defensive tackle and No. 1 player from the state of Mississippi. The Composite Rankings have him slightly lower, checking in at No. 149 overall and the No. 17 defensive tackle.
Either way, this is a huge get for Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
He had offers from several other prominent programs, including top SEC schools such as Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M. After weighing his options, Oatis decided he wanted to rock the Crimson and White on the next level.
Alabama now has the No. 11 recruiting class (No. 4 in the SEC), according to 247Sports. There are a total of six current commitments, two five-stars and four four-stars.
