The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up their third transfer portal commitment of the spring window Monday afternoon, as Kameron Howard announced he would be committing to the defending SEC champions.
This comes just days after Howard officially entered the transfer portal this past Saturday.
A defensive back, Howard comes to Alabama from Charlotte, where he spent the 2023 season as a true freshman. There, Howard compiled 38 total tackles during his first season of college football, along with 0.5 TFL, two INTs, and one PD.
Prior to Charlotte, Howard was unranked as a prospect out of high school according to 247Sports, where he came out of national power St. Frances Academy in Maryland as a member of the 2023 class. Out of high school, Howard held offers from programs that included Memphis, Charlotte, and Buffalo, among many others.

Looking ahead, Howard now joins an Alabama defensive back picture that will likely see multiple new starters this season. Entering his sophomore season, Howard should help to provide depth at the safety position.
