A new face to the program this season, Alabama Crimson Tide senior kicker Graham Nicholson has been named to the 2024 Lou Groza Award preseason watch list.
The Lou Groza Award, which Nicholson previously won last season while at Miami (OH), recognizes the top kicker in college football annually.
An accomplished collegiate kicker, Nicholson has spent each the past three seasons at Miami (OH) where he holds career totals of 97-of-104 on extra points, as well as 60-of-71 on field goals. Nicholson is also coming off a stellar 2023 season that led to the now senior winning the Lou Groza Award, as mentioned previously, in which he was 35-of-37 on extra points, as well as 27-of-28 on field goals.
Expected to be the starting kicker for the Crimson Tide this season, Alabama has never had a player win the Lou Groza Award. Could that be set to change later this season with Nicholson?
