Released on Friday morning, the Alabama Crimson Tide have been included in the top seven finalists for one of the nation’s premier basketball prospects, AJ Dybantsa.
The Crimson Tide were also joined in that group by the Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, BYU Cougars, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, and North Carolina Tar Heels.
Dybantsa is a highly-touted prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, ranked as the nation’s No. 1 player according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A five-star small forward, Dybantsa also attends Utah Prep in Utah, but recently spent the 2023-24 high school basketball season at national power Prolific Prep out in California.
An all-around elite prospect, Dybantsa, should he commit to Alabama, would become the highest-ranked prospect to ever commit to the Crimson Tide, a label that is currently held by former star guard Collin Sexton.
NEWS: AJ Dybantsa, the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class, has cut his list to 7 schools, per his IG:

The Crimson Tide’s 2025 recruiting class currently sits with no commitments from the cycle as well. Could the talented five-star potentially end up being the first?
