Recently, On3’s Matt Zenitz reported that Alabama had hired former NFL head coach Ken Whisenhunt to an off-field role. Whisenhunt had been an offensive analyst at Penn State for the past two seasons.
Whisenhunt’s most notable coaching gigs came at the professional level. He served as the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach from 2007-2012. Then, he served as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach from 2014-2015.
Interestingly, Whisenhunt is the father-in-law of Alabama offensive analyst Zach Mettenberger. The two will both be on the Alabama coaching staff next season.
