On Monday, Dec. 9, the window to enter the NCAA transfer portal officially opened, and will stay open until Saturday, Dec. 28.

During that stretch, there will certainly be countless players across college football who will officially enter the transfer portal looking for a new home, many of which will come from some of the nation’s premier programs, such as the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In fact, at the time of writing, there have already been numerous Alabama players who have entered the transfer portal, some of which have started games for the Crimson Tide in recent years.

What is shaping up to be a loaded couple of weeks where there will be an extensive amount of roster movement for programs across the country, here is a tracker for Alabama’s transfer portal movement that will include names who have entered from the Crimson Tide program, as well as committed to Alabama.

Jehiem Oatis, Defensive Line

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Colorado

Alabama defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis was the first Crimson Tide player to announce his intentions to transfer back in early-October. A former four-star, Top 100 prospect in the 2023 class, Oatis had a combined 57 tackles, three TFL, 1.5 sacks, and five PD across the last three seasons at Alabama.

Keanu Koht, Edge Rusher

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Vanderbilt

Another in-season transfer for Alabama was edge rusher Keanu Koht, who announced his intentions back in mid-November. Koht is a former four-star prospect who was one of the nation’s premier edge rushers in the 2021 class, and had a combined nine tackles, three TFL, 0.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery across four seasons at Alabama.

Jahlil Hurley, Cornerback

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Kansas

Alabama had two players announce their transfer intentions Dec. 3, the first of which was cornerback Jahlil Hurley. A former four-star, Top 50 recruit in the 2023 class, Hurley had only one tackle over his two seasons at Alabama.

Kobe Prentice, Wide Receiver

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Baylor

The second of those two Dec. 3 transfer announcements was a notable one in wide receiver Kobe Prentice. A former four-star, Top 100 prospect from the 2022 class, Prentice had a combined 60 receptions for 780 yards and five touchdowns across his three seasons at Alabama.

Miles McVay, Offensive Tackle

Transfer Decision: Alabama to North Carolina

Three players from Alabama announced their intentions to transfer Dec. 8, the first of which was offensive tackle Miles McVay. A former four-star prospect from the 2023 class, McVay has been a reserve offensive tackle during his two seasons at Alabama.

Caleb Odom, Wide Receiver

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Ole Miss

The second of those two Dec. 8 portal entries was freshman wide receiver Caleb Odom. A four-star prospect who was one of the nation’s top tight ends in the 2024 class prior to flipping to wide receiver, Odom had seven receptions for 65 yards during his lone season at Alabama.

Kendrick Law, Wide Receiver

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Kentucky

The final of those three Dec. 8 transfer portal entries was the biggest in wide receiver Kendrick Law, a four-star, as well as Top 100 prospect, in the 2022 class. Across his three seasons at Alabama, Law had 33 receptions for 343 yards and a touchdown, while also returning 22 kickoffs for 536 yards, as well as rushing for 30 yards on eight attempts.

Danny Lewis Jr., Tight End

Transfer Decision: Staying at Alabama

Alabama had three players enter the transfer portal Dec. 9 when it opened, the first of which was tight end Danny Lewis Jr.. A three-star prospect from the 2022 class, Lewis had one reception for five yards across his three years in Tuscaloosa, as well as returned a kickoff for 14 yards.

Hunter Osborne, Defensive Line

The second Dec. 9 portal entry was defensive lineman Hunter Osborne, who is a four-star prospect from the 2022 class. Across two seasons at Alabama, Osborne had a combined three tackles and one PD.

Naquil Betrand, Offensive Tackle

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Syracuse

Alabama offensive tackle Naquil Betrand was the third Dec. 9 transfer portal addition. Betrand did not see much action along Alabama’s offensive front this season, his lone in Tuscaloosa.

Dylan Lonergan, Quarterback

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Boston College

Lonergan announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Dec. 11 after two seasons at Alabama. Over the last two seasons, Lonergan has completed 7-of-8 passes for 35 yards, while also rushing for 21 yards on two attempts.

Justice Haynes, Running Back

One of Alabama’s biggest names to enter the transfer portal this offseason, Haynes announced his intentions Dec. 13 after two seasons in Tuscaloosa. The running back compiled a combined 616 yards and nine touchdowns on 104 attempts at Alabama, while also hauling in 17 receptions for 99 yards.

DeVonta Smith, Safety

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Notre Dame

A starter during the 2024 season, Smith announced his intentions Dec. 14 to enter the transfer portal. Across four seasons at Alabama, Smith has a total of 36 tackles with one TFL and one forced fumble, and is coming off a breakout 2024 season.

Emmanuel Henderson Jr., Wide Receiver

A do-it-all player for Alabama, Henderson announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Dec. 16. The wide receiver had a combined five receptions for 96 yards, returned six kickoffs for 115 yards, and amassed nine tackles across his three seasons at Alabama from 2022-24.

Jaylen Mbakwe, Cornerback

Transfer Decision: Staying at Alabama

A former five-star prospect, Mbakwe also announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Dec. 16. As a true freshman, Mbakwe had 15 tackles, one TFL, one interception, and two PD during the 2024 season, while also returning two punts for 46 yards.

Damon Payne Jr., Defensive Line

Transfer Decision: Alabama to Michigan

Payne announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Dec. 17 after four seasons at Alabama, three of which he saw action. Over that span, Payne had 30 tackles, three TFL, 0.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

Kelby Collins, Defensive Line

Transfer Decision: Florida to Alabama

Alabama’s first transfer portal addition of the cycle came Dec. 17 via Kelby Collins announcing his commitment to the Crimson Tide. A transfer from the Florida Gators, the defensive lineman had a combined 29 tackles, two TFL, 1.5 sacks, one PD, and one forced fumble during his two seasons in Gainesville.

Cameron Calhoun, Cornerback

Transfer Decision: Utah to Alabama

Alabama landed a key pickup at the cornerback position Dec. 18 when Utah transfer Cameron Calhoun committed to the Crimson Tide. During the 2024 season with the Utes, Calhoun had 21 tackles, one TFL, one interception, and nine PD.

Kam Dewberry, Interior Offensive Line

Transfer Decision: Texas A&M to Alabama

Dec. 21 was one of the biggest days of the transfer portal cycle for Alabama, as the Crimson Tide landed three commitments, the first of which was Kam Dewberry. Dewberry was a multi-year starter along the Texas A&M Aggies offensive line.

Isaiah Horton, Wide Receiver

Transfer Decision: Miami to Alabama

The second of those Dec. 21 commitments was a wide receiver in Isaiah Horton, who comes to Alabama after three seasons at Miami, had a total of 70 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns with the Hurricanes.

Nikhai Hill-Green, Linebacker

Transfer Decision: Colorado to Alabama

Alabama’s final Dec. 21 commitment was from an experienced linebacker in Nikhai Hill-Green from the Colorado Buffaloes. Hill-Green has 206 tackles during his college career, which includes 82 tackles, 12 TFL, two sacks, two interceptions, and four PD with the Buffaloes in 2024.
