The month of November was not good to the Alabama Crimson Tide. After starting the season 8-0, the team dropped two out of its four games during Thanksgiving month, which were both to top rivals.

Included in the loss column is Auburn, who were able to escape the Iron Bowl with a 48-45 win over the Crimson Tide.

As a result of that loss, Alabama, once again, fell in the latest edition of the Amway Coaches Poll, which came out on Sunday. In that poll, they were ranked No. 9, still in front of the in-state Tigers (No. 12).

Other notable changes from the Coaches Poll include the following:

  • Wisconsin moved up from No. 14 into the top 10 after a decisive victory over Minnesota, who dropped to No. 15
  • Michigan dropped seven spots to No. 18 after suffering its third loss of the season, which was a blowout to arch-rival Ohio State
  • Virginia found its way back into the top 25 (No. 22) after beating Virginia Tech

And here is the top 25 from the Coaches Poll in its entirety:

1. LSU (12-0)

2. Ohio State (12-0)

3. Clemson (12-0)

4. Georgia (11-1)

5. Utah (11-1)
