Alabama defensive lineman named to Wuerffel Trophy watch list

The award recognizes impactful community service leaders.

Watch list season for the Alabama Crimson Tide continues to roll on, as defensive lineman Tim Keenan III officially joined that group Thursday by being named to the watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy.

The Wuerffel Trophy is presented annually, and recognizes college football’s most impactful community service leader.

Keenan, a redshirt junior, is currently entering his fourth season with the Crimson Tide along the defensive front.

After redshirting in 2021 as a true freshman, Keenan saw limited action in 2022 as a redshirt freshman, and would follow by a breakout 2023 season a year ago. This included claiming the starting spot at nose tackle, which he held throughout the season, amassing a combined 38 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and one sack across 14 games for the Crimson Tide.

The redshirt junior is once again expected to play a major role for Alabama in 2024, and should be a focal point for the team at defensive tackle, likely coming as a starter.
