The Alabama Crimson Tide dropped their second conference game of the season on Saturday against the Texas A&M Aggies. The game was essentially meaningless though as Alabama had already wrapped up the SEC regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
Today, the updated AP Poll was released and the Crimson Tide dropped to No. 4 in the rankings. Alabama’s spot as a one-seed in March Madness still looks pretty secure as long as they play well this weekend. Ranked ahead of the Tide are Houston (who Alabama already beat), UCLA and Kansas.
Alabama fans should feel really solid entering conference tournament weekend as the No. 4 team in the country with all the tools to push for a late run this March. Alabama will open up the SEC tournament with the winner of Florida vs Mississippi State on Friday.
