After a rough loss on the road to Tennessee in Week 7, Alabama shut out the ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs with a final score of 30-6.
Bryce Young played well, as did star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. However, the true star was Pete Golding and his defense, which played lights out and disciplined against a strong Mike Leach-led offense.
The Crimson Tide’s path to the offseason still faces a few obstacles, but starting the final stretch of the regular season with a dominant win is a step in the right direction.
The team will have off next week but will prepare for a Week 10 matchup against LSU, a contest that will take place on the road in Baton Rouge.
