The Alabama Crimson Tide looks to keep the momentum they built in the final SEC series of the season with Arkansas going on Tuesday morning, as they face Georgia in the opening round of the SEC Tournament at the Hoover Met.
Alabama surprised the Razorbacks last weekend in Tuscaloosa by taking two of three games from Arkansas, with one of those games being an 18-5 shelling.
For Georgia, they ended the season on a high note by defeating Missouri, 11-10 last Saturday. But, they ultimately lost the series to the Tigers, who grabbed two wins in the series by scores of 11-3 and 10-3 respectively.
Georgia holds a 2-1 advantage over Alabama on the season. The Bulldogs won the series played April 22-24 in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide’s win over Georgia in the series finale snapped a five-game losing streak, and they are currently 5-8 since that game.
The no. 11 Crimson Tide squares off with the no. 6 Bulldogs in the first game of the SEC Tournament on Tuesday in Hoover. The winner will face no. 3 Arkansas on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. CDT.
