Alabama Baseball lands Jacksonville State transfer Brennen Norton

The Alabama baseball program recently landed a commitment from Jacksonville State transfer infielder Brennen Norton.

The Alabama Crimson Tide baseball program added some firepower to its roster on Wednesday. Jacksonville State transfer Brennen Norton announced that he was transferring to Alabama via social media.

Norton spent three seasons at Jacksonville State. Over the course of his three-year career with the Gamecocks, Norton played primarily third base. One of the most impressive stats that Norton recorded was a .946 fielding percentage. At the plate, Norton was even more impressive for the Gamecocks.

In three years, Norton held a .303 batting average, hitting 24 home runs and driving in 102 runs. He played in 139 games and was a starter in 136 of those games.

During the offseason, Alabama has landed multiple transfers. Two of which include corner infielders in Samford transfer Garrett Staton and Miami (FL) transfer Jason Torres. With that being the case, it is unclear who will be the starter at the hot corner. Nonetheless, Alabama will have plenty of options. Norton is a proven option as a defender and batter.
