The Alabama Crimson Tide baseball program bolstered its bullpen on Sunday. Campbell transfer pitcher Packy Bradley-Cooney announced that he was transferring from Campbell to Alabama.
Bradley-Cooney began his college career at CCBC Essex — a junior college located in Baltimore County, Maryland. In two seasons, Bradley-Cooney recorded 40 strikeouts in 23.2 innings.
Following his sophomore season, Bradley-Cooney transferred to Campbell. In one season with the Camels, Bradley-Cooney recorded a 2-0 record in 25 appearances and held a 6.00 earned run average. In addition, he recorded six saves.
Alabama lost its top bullpen arm this offseason with Alton Davis II transferring to Georgia. It will be interesting to see if Alabama decides to use Bradley-Cooney in a similar role to Davis II. He has the potential to be a key reliever next season for the Crimson Tide.
I am very grateful for my time at Campbell and will always be a part of the brotherhood.
Excited to be finishing my college career at the University of Alabama! #RollTide pic.twitter.com/HWOVEWHNmM
