A.J. Green has plenty of supporters in the form of Cincinnati Bengals fans — and in the form of analysts and former NFL wideouts.

The latest example comes via former NFL wideout James Jones, who popped up on an NFL Network segment recently and threw out some big-time predictions for Green while tabbing him as the biggest bounce-back player of 2020:

“I’m going A.J. Green. You get Joe Burrow, first pick in the draft…you got Tyler Boyd on the other side, you got A.J. Green, you got JoeJoe in the backfield, you got John Ross who can run if you keep him healthy. It’s a lot of talented position players on this team…and A.J. Green is the biggest one. 1,000-plus yards, back to the Pro Bowl, 10-plus touchdowns…You cannot get A.J. Green the ball enough.”

Much of the conversation around Green this offseason has centered on his health and long-term status with the Bengals and this is especially the case about a month out from the mid-July deadline for the team to sign him to a long-term deal.

But Jones hits on a simpler, equally as an important point about Green — he’s going to erupt in 2020 if he can actually stay on the field and form a good rapport with Joe Burrow. Not only is he elite when healthy, the complementary pieces around him at the skill positions should make his life easier.

Jones isn’t the first to predict it, but it sure doesn’t hurt to hear it from somebody who would know.
