There is hope out there for Cincinnati Bengals wideout A.J. Green.

A.J. Green is one of the bigger questions surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020.

Green, after missing all of last year due to an injury suffered on the first day of training camp, is back and on the franchise tag for what could be his last chance to prove he can stay healthy.

If he does…good things tend to happen. Green scored eight times with 1,000-plus yards in 2017, his last full 16-game season. He still scored six times in 2018 over just nine games.

On paper, if Green is healthy, he’s not too difficult to project. What’s interesting is considering things beyond health like…Joe Burrow.

So what do the experts think? Here’s what Pro Football Focus says:

Green’s had better than 64 catches in seven of his eight seasons he’s actually played in a game, the exception 2018 when he played nine games — so the numbers following the catches make sense.

And — again, on paper — the same quick-firing offense with a new passer under center and a healthy cast of weapons drawing the defense’s attention could make this sort of line easily attainable.

If Green is healthy and these numbers happen — more than just fantasy football owners are going to be thrilled next season.
