The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive line didn’t have a good day against the Tampa Bay Bucs, but it wasn’t because of guard A.J. Cann. As the member on the offensive line with the second-most amount of career starts, Cann held his own against Tampa Bay’s defensive line and played well enough to earn himself an 85.6 grade, per Pro Football Focus.
Cann’s solid mark on the day was the highest grade of any member on the Jags’ roster. His performance also was good enough to land him on PFF’s Team of the Week alongside Deshaun Watson, Todd Gurley, Alshon Jeffery and several other standouts on the week.

RG A.J. CANN, JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
The Jags’ right guard put forth his highest-graded game since Week 15 of the 2016 season in this week’s clash against the Buccaneers. He didn’t allow a single pressure all game long, giving him a perfect 100.0 pass-blocking efficiency rating, and he also earned outstanding marks in the running game (81.2).
Heading forward, the Jags will need Cann to have more games like he had Sunday with rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew II returning to the field. Tailback Leonard Fournette will also be heavily dependent on Cann, as the run game his been pretty lackluster as of late.
