Ainias Smith hauls in the game winning catch for the Philadelphia Eagles

Texas A&M star, Ainias Smith, helps lead the Eagles to victory with game winning catch

Through two preseason NFL games, former Texas A&M wide receiver Ainias Smith had only two catches for 7 yards. However, on Thursday night Smith showed off his clutch gene that we became so used to at A&M.

With under five minutes left in the game, the Philadelphia Eagles were down by one against the New England Patriots. They lined up for a two-point conversion. When the huddle broke, Smith motioned out, and the ball was hiked. He sprinted toward the pylon. He showed off his hands, catching a ball slightly behind him for the score, putting the Eagles up 14 -13 for the eventual victory.

Smith finished his incredible Aggie career with 2,812 yards and 23 touchdowns from scrimmage and is ranked seventh in Texas A&M history in receiving yards (2,407). Next, Smith and the Eagles will return to Philadelphia to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
