Ainge ‘impressed’ with Kemba’s hard work to get his body right

Danny Ainge appreciates the hard work that Celtics guard Kemba Walker has put into his body to get healthy.

After missing the first 11 games of the season as he rehabbed his knee injury, it made sense that Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker would need some time to find his groove and feel like ‘Cardiac’ again. And just as the All-Star break approaches, Walker is starting to look like his old self again.

Over his last six games, Walker is averaging 23.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists on 43.2% from the field and 38.3% from 3. In those six games, the Celtics are 4 – 2 after losing eight of the previous 12 games. And for Celtics GM Danny Ainge, who made his weekly appearance today on “Toucher & Rich” of 98.5 The Sports Hub, he’s well-aware of the hard work that Walker has put in to get his body back in shape.
