The growing tension between the Texas A&M and Alabama football programs, has been well documented, with the very public feud between Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban reaching new levels last week. Eyes have turned towards the Aggies 2022 matchup with the Crimson Tide on October 8th.
It seems as though our friends at CBS have taken note as well. As they have announced their SEC on CBS broadcast schedule for the fall, which includes one primetime matchup, at 8:00 ET on the night of, you guessed it, October 8th.
The release of course doesn’t specify which game will be featured in primetime, as Georgia vs Auburn, and Tennessee vs LSU could each make compelling cases for the featured slot. But considering the hype building around the Bama/A&M matchup, and the epic game the two provided in primetime in 2021, smart money is on the Aggies and Tide kicking off under the lights in Tuscaloosa.
