Aggie Softball makes a big move up in the rankings after series win over Arkansas

The Texas A&M softball team is making some noise this year under 1st year Head coach Trisha Ford.

The Texas A&M softball team has not had a cakewalk to start the season by any means, playing seven top-25 teams which included four top-ten teams. That hasn’t stopped this young Aggie team and first-year head coach Trisha Ford from showing they deserved to be ranked at this point of the season.

Texas A&M (16-7) has gone 5-5 against ranked opponents with their most convincing wins coming against the No 7 Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville. After getting run-ruled in game one, the Aggies responded with 11 runs to 1 in the final two games to clinch series against the two-time SEC champs.

D1 Softball noticed the effort and moved from No 21 all the way up to No 13 in their rankings.

The Aggies will start a 3-game series at 5 p.m. on March 17 – 19 where they will host No. 18 Georgia at Davis Diamond.
