CB Mike Hilton

The former undrafted free agent was initially signed by the Jaguars in 2016 only to be cut after training camp. He then signed with the Patriots practice squad before being released that September. Three months after his release from New England, Mike Hilton was signed to the Steelers practice squad, where he spent his entire rookie season.

In 2017, Hilton made a name for himself in training camp and earned a spot on the 53-man roster. That December, his performance against the Texans garnered him AFC Defensive Player of the Week. In secondary coverage, he finished the season with six pass deflections and two interceptions in 16 games and four starts.

That following season, in 390 coverage snaps, Hilton allowed 49 receptions on 71 targets for a completion percentage of 69. He recorded a critical INT in a Week 3 matchup versus the Buccaneers, which the Steelers won 30-27. Hilton’s PFF coverage grade was 72.

2019 was Hilton’s best since his rookie season. His 59 percent completion rate and one INT earned him a PFF coverage grade of 73.

Hilton is currently scheduled to hit the free-agent market after the 2020 season.
