After training in LA, Logan Bruss dreamed of playing for the Rams

Logan Bruss trained with Rob Havenstein and David Edwards before the combine, and he dreamed of playing with them on the Rams

Logan Bruss grew up in Wisconsin and played his college football for the Badgers, so he’s a Midwest kid through and through. But knowing he was making the jump to the NFL, he dreamed of warmer weather and beaches – and playing for the Rams.

During his call with media members on Friday, Bruss told reporters that he trained with David Edwards and Rob Havenstein in Los Angeles before the combine, and he loved it. That had him dreaming of being drafted by the Rams, which ultimately happened in the third round.

“I was training in L.A. for the combine, and I know a couple guys on the Rams’ O-line and it was good to be around that during that time, during the playoffs and the Super Bowl. It was a lot of fun,” Bruss said, via the team’s site. “I loved the area, and honestly this is the place I was kind of dreaming of coming to play. It’s a dream come true. I’m excited to see some familiar faces there.”

Edwards and Havenstein told Bruss the Rams might draft him, but the rookie called it “obviously crazy” that it actually wound up happening. He’s now the third Wisconsin lineman on the roster, and he could compete for starting snaps at right guard immediately.

Bruss being friends with Edwards and Havenstein should only make his transition from college to the NFL even easier – and he’ll also be moving from his original position of right tackle to guard, which the Rams see as a seamless switch.

The Rams are thrilled to have him aboard, and Kevin Carberry already said he looks like a Roman soldier.
