[autotag]Bill Algeo[/autotag] vs. [autotag]Ricardo Ramos[/autotag] is back on the books.
The featherweights will fight one another at UFC Fight Night 188 on May 22, which is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Originally scheduled for UFC on ESPN 22 on April 17, the matchup was canceled after Ramos (14-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was removed due to COVID-19 protocols.
Algeo (14-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has split his UFC appearances to date. After a “Fight of the Night” bonus-earning performance in his promotional debut – a unanimous decision loss to former UFC featherweight title challenger Ricardo Lamas – Algeo picked up his first UFC victory in November, defeating “The Alpha Ginger,” Spike Carlyle, via unanimous decision.
Ramos, 25, was scheduled to compete at UFC Fight Night 187 on March 13, but his fight was scrapped after opponent Zubaira Tukhugov withdrew due to injury. Ramos most recently competed in July when he was finished by Lerone Murphy via ground-and-pound.
With the addition, the May 22 lineup now includes:
- Rob Font vs. Cody Garbrandt
- David Dvorak vs. Raulian Paiva
- Felicia Spencer vs. Danyelle Wolf
- Denys Bondar vs. Victor Rodriguez
- Carla Esparza vs. Yan Xiaonan

- Josh Culibao vs. Yilan Sha
