After a rocky start, the Kings seemed to find their footing after the All-Star break and had climbed to within 3.5 games of the eighth seed when the NBA paused its season on March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Veteran Sacramento guard Cory Joseph was encouraged by the progress, and believes his team was ready to get over the hump and into the post-season. “We were rolling,” Joseph said in a recent interview with Sportsnet’s Brad Fay on Basketball Central @Home. “We were playing well, we were playing together, we were coming into our own. We were a young team figuring things out before the All-Star break and then we started rolling. We definitely felt like we could have competed with anybody.”
