AFC South recap: Texans watch Colts lose, Titans win

While the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars took a bye week, the Indianapolis Colts lost and the Tennessee Titans won in Week 10.

The Jacoby Brissett-less Colts fall to the hands of Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins

It turns out, the Indianapolis Colts will skip a beat without starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who was out on Sunday with a sprained MCL. In Brian Hoyer’s first start with the horseshoe on his helmet, the former Texans quarterback threw three interceptions to one touchdown.

In a dual of former Texans quarterbacks — between Hoyer and Ryan Fitzpatrick — it was Bill O’Brien’s first shot-caller as an NFL head coach that won Sunday. Fitzpatrick, who went 21 of 33 for 169 yards and an interception, did just enough to get a Dolphins win, chipping in with a rush touchdown.

The Colts, since beating Houston and Denver, have lost back-to-back games. They have lost offensive playmakers as of late in Brissett and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. Next week, they will host the Jaguars before traveling down to face the Texans in Houston on Thursday Night Football.
