After the Raiders’ loss to the Chiefs two weeks ago, they were hanging onto the seventh seed in the AFC and looking at a very favorable schedule over the final six weeks of the season.
That home stretch got off to a rough start last Sunday with the Raiders getting pummeled by the Falcons 43-6. For playoff purposes, the score doesn’t really mean much. But the L does. It pushed the Raiders outside the playoffs bubble.
We all had to wait until Wednesday to get a handle on the exact playoff standings because the Ravens and Steelers game had been postponed due to the Ravens’ rash of COVID-19 positives causing them to completely shut down their facility for a week.
That game is now over and the Steelers pulled out the 19-14 win to remain undefeated. The Ravens then dropped to 6-5 and just below the Raiders in the hunt to get back inside the playoff bubble.
