There never seems to be a dull moment in the AFC North.

While we were finding out the Cincinnati Bengals tried to get undrafted free agent Thaddeus Moss, discovered Joe Burrow is trying to set up workouts and even chronicled a Burrow vs. Trevor Lawrence debate…the AFC North was staying busy.

Over in Baltimore, the Ravens brought back free agent Pernell McPhee to get after divisional quarterbacks once more.

And over in Cleveland, it was revealed Baker Mayfield is working out with teammates in Texas.

And then there is the James Harrison drama with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Harrison appeared on a podcast this week and suggested Steelers coach Mike Tomlin slipped him an envelope of cash after an illegal hit on Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi back in 2010.

This incredibly bad-sounding story made such a big wave Steelers president Art Rooney II issued a statement.

Still, the statement isn’t going to do much in the early stages of what could be an unfolding saga. Even the hint of a coach throwing money at a player in envelopes after a hit that got him fined is a massive ordeal — whether it was a reward or a coach helping the player with the fine money doesn’t matter.

Harrison ended up having an ugly split with the Steelers organization years later. But it’s hard to imagine this topic goes away quickly — and harder to imagine fans of the other AFC North teams just up and let it go.
