Any Bills fans interested in getting an early look at the Aaron Rodgers Jets will have that chance.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets were selected by the NFL and NFL Films to be featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” during 2023’s training camp. While a new update, the Jets were reportedly “bracing” to be selected for it.
The annual docuseries, which began in 2001, goes behind the scenes with an NFL team during their training camp. It’s a show fans enjoy but teams usually avoid as it’s viewed as an offseason distraction.
But certain rules in place make it so teams can decline being on the show. Those are:
- There is a first-year head coach in place.
- The team had a playoff berth in either of the past two seasons.
- They have appeared on “Hard Knocks” in the past decade.
In total, the four teams that did not fall under this umbrella were the:
- Jets
- Bears
- Saints
- Commanders
Thanks to the addition of Rodgers this offseason and the Jets being a team considered better than the other three, it felt all along like they’d be the selection. Now they are.
The Bills and Jets will faceoff in Week 1 of the 2023 season as well.
