AEW Dynamite results: Two title matches for Toronto debut

Get full results for AEW Dynamite making its debut in Toronto on October 12, 2022, with a pair of championships on the line.

It’s time to stand on guard for AEW Dynamite. Well, maybe just stand, since it’s likely to be a raucous crowd at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto as AEW makes its way to Canada for the first time.

There should be plenty of in-ring excitement worthy of the debut, with two championships on the line. Native son Chris Jericho may be The Ocho, but possibly not for long as he tries to fend off Bryan Danielson and retain the ROH World Championship.

Pac has his hands full too, because while Orange Cassidy may be pretty nonchalant about everything, he definitely seems to want his first AEW title pretty badly. Will he be able to snatch the All-Atlantic Championship away from The Bastard?

Another Canadian star, Christian Cage, is on the shelf for a while due to injury. But he’s certainly not above doing his fighting by proxy, which is exactly what he’s doing by sending Luchasaurus after “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry. How will this battle between former friends and teammates go?

Plus, the person missing from the DX 25th anniversary celebration on the competition’s Monday night show won’t be missing from Dynamite. Billy Gunn, a.k.a. Daddy Ass, will take to the ring to face off with Swerve Strickland. We’d expect The Acclaimed will be there to watch Gunn’s back, both for scissoring purposes and because everyone loves The Acclaimed … and that includes Canadians.

So buckle up, because it looks like a potentially very fun card from Toronto. Assuming you won’t be there in person, the move is to tear yourself away from NHL and the MLB playoffs and watch live on TBS.
