AEW Dynamite results: Dynamite turns 3 with oversized show

Get full AEW Dynamite results for the extra long three-year anniversary episode on October 5, 2022 from Washington D.C.

Ah, wrestling shows are so cute once they turn three, almost like they’re little people. They’re talking more, running around all the time, and … no, wait. That’s when human beings turn three. Well, anyway, AEW Dynamite has definitely changed some since 2019, and that should be reflected in tonight’s anniversary episode from the very straightforwardly named Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington D.C.

Tony Khan has already decreed that the show will go an extra 15 minutes tonight, meaning it should be packed to the gills with potential goodness. One of the biggest matches will feature a battle between two current ROH champions and possibly former Jericho Appreciation Society teammates. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara will be on one side, with Daniel Garcia and Bryan Danielson on the other. Could this be the time when Garcia finally breaks free and declares himself a wrestler, or are there more twists to this story coming?

The women’s division has heated up a bit with the arrival of Saraya, and while she’s not hitting the ring yet, most of the other big players are for one six-person tag match. Toni Storm, Athena and Willow Nightingale will join forces for all that is right and good, facing a team of Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb and Penelope Ford. We’re not the only ones who wish Hayter would just embrace her newfound fan favorite status, but we don’t expect that to happen this week.

Other matches announced for tonight include Wardlow defending the TNT Championship against Brian Cage, MJF throwing down with Wheeler Yuta, Rush colliding with Hangman Adam Page, and Darby Allin stepping in against Jay Lethal. All this plus it’s National Scissoring Day, so Max Caster is dropping punchlines on someone.

What do you know, that actually does add up to a show that can easily be more than two hours. Plenty of reasons to tune in live on TBS, or to bookmark this page right here as we update it with the latest AEW Dynamite results in something approximating real time.
