Admiral Schofield’s time with the Oklahoma City Thunder was short, as he did not make it out of the preseason.
He was placed on waivers after the Thunder’s final exhibition game.
Schofield, a shooting guard and small forward, was traded to Oklahoma City from the the Washington Wizards in a recent draft night deal.
He was a two-way player during his rookie season with the Wizards in 2019-20, splitting time between Washington and the Capital City Go-Go.
The former Vol played for the Wizards sparingly until the NBA restarted the 2019-2020 campaign in the Central Florida bubble.
He appeared in 33 games for Washington in 2019-20, making two starts.
He averaged 3.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game as a rookie in the NBA.
During the 2020 preseason, Schofield appeared in two games for the Thunder, going 0-for-3 and playing 26 minutes.
Schofield, a second-round draft pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019, played for the Volunteers between 2015-19 and was an AP Honorable Mention All-America standout as a senior for the Vols.
That same year, he was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference performer in 2019 and a second-team All-SEC player in 2018.
