ORLANDO — One day after sitting out his team’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, former University of Tennessee basketball player and NBA rookie for the Washington Wizards Admiral Schofield returned to the floor Monday afternoon.
Schofield, a small forward for the Wizards, scored three points and pulled down three rebounds in Washington’s 111-100 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Orlando’s Visa Athletic Center. He played 19 minutes.
The Wizards (24-43) are winless since the NBA restarted its season in the Central Florida bubble. Washington coach Scott Brooks held Schofield out of Sunday afternoon’s 118-110 loss to the Brooklyn Nets with a coach’s decision.
Schofield, an Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Southeastern Conference performer for the Volunteers as a senior in 2018-19, played in Washington’s first game back on July 31, logging six minutes and grabbing two rebounds in the team’s 125-112 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Schofield was a Second-Team All-SEC standout as a junior.
