The Auburn Tigers are currently riding a nine-game win streak and freshman [autotag]Aden Holloway[/autotag] is a key reason why.
The guard from Charlotte, North Carolina averages 10.1 points and 3.4 assists per game. In conference play, he averages eight points per game. He scored 13 in Auburn’s most recent win, a 93-78 decision over LSU at Neville Arena.
He was highly touted coming into the season and has lived up to the hype to this point. He has caught the attention of On3’s Jamie Shaw, who has included Holloway in his “Power 6 Freshmen to Watch” list.
Shaw points out Holloway’s inconsistencies but says that his assist-to-turnover ratio is among the best in the country.
While his shooting and scoring numbers have been up and down, where Aden Holloway has shined is with his assists-to-turnover ratio. The 6-foot-1 freshman’s 3.71 assists-to-turnover number makes him 13th overall in Division 1 and the top freshman to date.
Notre Dame‘s Markus Burton, Florida‘s Alex Condon, and Oregon‘s Kwame Evans join Holloway on Shaw’s list. Holloway and the Tigers return to the court on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT when they pay a visit to Nashville to face the Vanderbilt Commodores.
