Adcock goes in 13th round to Cincinnati Reds

Cody Adcock was the first Razorback off the board on day three of the MLB Draft, being taken by the Cincinnati Reds.

Day three and the final day of the MLB Draft was Tuesday in Seattle, with the Major League Baseball All-Star Game set to go tonight from T-Mobile Park.

Arkansas pitcher Cody Adcock was the first Razorback off the board on Tuesday, going in the thirteenth round to Cincinnati with the 378th overall pick.

Adcock will be joining teammate Hunter Hollan if he ultimately decides to sign with the Reds, which he will likely do.

The Texarkana right-hander had a Jekyll-and-Hyde season in 2023, compiling a 5.88 ERA but struck out 46 batters in just 52 innings of work.
