Aday Mara was a shining member of team Spain in Poland this summer. The future UCLA Bruins big man played as part of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket.
The 19-year-old played in 28 games for the Bruins last season. He was able to start in 8 for them and scored 3.5 points per game. During the 2022 FIBA Under 17 Basketball World Cup, Mara was one of the top players for Spain. He scored just shy of 13 points per game. Spain lost in the title game to the United States.
Spain beat Montenegro 80-45 in the opener but then lost to France in the quarter-finals. Mara had 8 points in the opening game. In the second game, Mara played 20 minutes and went 6 for 10 from the field, scored 12 points, and ripped down 9 rebounds.

France and Greece will play in one semi-final and Belgium and Slovenia will meet in the other. The final is set for Sunday.
