NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was one of several sports league leaders on an ESPN Sportscenter special that aired on Monday night about the return of the sports world in North America. Over the past few days, NBA headlines have been dominated by the voices of concern and skepticism within the Player’s Union, with regards to going to Walt Disney World, led by Nets star Kyrie Irving and Lakers guard Avery Bradley.
But while their concerns are still being discussed with the players and the league, Silver understands that the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic and the current social climate, as well as the restrictive quarantine, may not be something that every player will do.
Adam Silver to @Espngreeny on Orlando: "I can only say, it may not be for everyone. It will entail enormous sacrifice – of those players and for everyone involved – the coaches, the referees…If a player chooses not to come, it’s not a breach of his contract. We accept that.

So to sum up what Silver said, if the NBA goes on as planned, players from teams will have the ability not to go and not breach their contract. Whatever the decisions for the players are, they are not easy.
