With now over a week since the NBA made the unprecedented decision to indefinitely suspend the league, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver addressed NBA fans during an interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols on Thursday. Among the things he talked about were NBA players getting tested for COVID-19 much more than the general public, as well as what he believes the NBA’s role will be during the league’s indefinite hiatus.
Among one of the things that Silver mentioned as a possibility on Wednesday was an All-Star Game-style exhibition game played at a neutral site with players that have been tested and can be quarantined. Silver said that the exhibition can be also used as a fundraiser to raise money to help combat the spread of the coronavirus.

Silver is open to any ideas and it seems like he wants the NBA to create something for fans to distract them, as well as a financial instrument to raise money for victims of the virus. Obviously, nobody knows what it will look like, but the NBA is being proactive in trying to find solutions to work during an unprecedented in the modern world of pro sports.
