Michigan State hockey has officially ended a 15 year drought, securing their first Great Lakes Invitational championship since 2009 with a 3-1 victory over Western Michigan.
The Spartans won on the back of their backup goaltender Luca Di Pasquo, but also got a massive boost from Joey Larson.
Following the celebration, head coach Adam Nightingale took the podium with Larson, talking about the massive Spartans victory.
