Adam Archuleta had the perfect 2-word disappointed dad call for a terrible Bo Nix interception

“Oh no.”

Bo Nix had a very bad NFL debut.

The 12th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft was dropped into a Denver Broncos lineup with few reliable options. His wide receiver corps is headlined by Courtland Sutton but has a significant dropoff after the big, rangy veteran. His running back platoon averaged 3.2 yards per carry in Week 1’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

This led to predictable struggles for a debuting pro quarterback. Nix needed 42 passes to throw for just 138 yards. He had 12 attempts that traveled more than 10 yards downfield and had as many completions (two) as interceptions. One of those interceptions was so bad, CBS color commentator Adam Archuleta knew it was bound for disaster moments after it left Nix’s hand.

Nix’s hero-ball toss into triple coverage made a potential Broncos comeback even less likely. While his defense held strong and he was able to add the team’s only offensive touchdown on the ensuing drive, it wasn’t enough as Denver lost 26-20 to fall to 0-1.

To Nix’s credit, however, he wasn’t the only young quarterback to have a terrible throw get the “No!” treatment from the broadcast booth while it hung in the air. Behold Will Levis, frittering away the last lingering remnants of a 17-0 lead against the Chicago Bears:
