Abendroth Golf’s ‘Peggy Pant’ suitable for more than just the golf course

Abendroth Golf’s ‘Peggy Pant’ is suitable for more than just a round on the golf course.

Most young women cringe at the thought of golf pants.

The fit is normally too loose on the legs, unflattering, doesn’t lay at the right hip height, the list goes on. I can recall moments in my golf career where I would wear a skirt in the pouring rain to avoid a pair of uncomfortable pants.

Now I’ve finally found a pair of pants suitable for not only the course, but also a professional setting. The Peggy Pant from Abendroth Golf, founded by PGA professional Emily Farrell, is a professional structured jogger. It features a higher waisted, four-way stretch, sweat wicking fabric and most importantly, five pockets.

Finding a women’s golf bottom with pockets alone is extremely hard to do, let alone five. Leg of the pant is tapered with zippers at the ankles, allowing the bottom of the pant to be tightened. Most current athletic pants for women have switched to elastic waistbands or draw strings, but the Peggy Pant has a button closure allowing for a shirt to be properly tucked in, if desired.

At 5-foot-10 I have always struggled to find pants that come up at the right length on my leg. The tapered fit makes these pants suitable for a variety of heights. For example, they were slightly cropped on me, a ⅞ length, but I found it to be flattering.

Abendroth Golf had a successful 2020 spring launch, selling out in three short weeks during the peak of COVID-19. After incredible feedback, they just launched for the fall with two additional colors. The Peggy Pant currently retails for $136 and comes in navy blazer, storm grey, black and olive green.
