Aaron Rodgers teases ‘Jeopardy!’ contestants who all missed Packers question

Aaron Rodgers continues to be an excellent “Jeopardy!” guest host.

Aaron Rodgers’ run as a guest host of Jeopardy! — he’s one of several people filling in for the late Alex Trebek — has been fantastic, and a producer of the show even said recently that “his second career could be better than his first.”

Of course, as a huge fan of the show and a former contestant, the Green Bay Packers quarterback has been having fun with it, and one of the contestants even roasted him over the Packers’ most recent playoff loss.

During the episode that aired Tuesday, it was Rodgers’ turn to tease the contestants when they all missed a clue about the Packers.

In a sports category named TITLE WAVES during the opening round, the clue was:

“In the 1960s these Midwesterners earned 5 NFL Championship trophies”

Nothing from the contestants, leading a deflated Rodgers to point out the correct response was: The Green Bay Packers.

The contestants stuck with the sports category, however, and when the $600 clue came up — “They swept over the NBA, winning the title every year from 1959 to 1966” — Erick buzzed in first, correctly answering the Boston Celtics. And to that, Rodgers responded:

“Oh, you know that one, huh?”

Here’s a longer version of the clip with the both questions:

Unfortunately for Rodgers, he’s in his second and final week as the Jeopardy! guest host. But there are plenty of fans out there who wish he could keep going.

When USA TODAY recently asked if Rodgers would ever consider becoming the permanent host of the show one day, he said, “Hell yeah, I would.”
