Aaron Rodgers’ TD pass to Davante Adams ices Jets’ win over Texans

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams with a TD connection as New York Jets

The New York Jets were in desperation mode.

They were 2-6 and down 7-0 in the second half against the Houston Texans on Thursday at MetLife Sradium.

The offense came alive after the break, Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes and the Jets were 3-6 after a 21-13 win over the AFC South leaders.

The one that iced the game was Rodgers’ 37-yard pass to Davante Adams to make it 21-10 after the PAT.

Rodgers was 22-of-32 for 211 and the TDs. Adams caught seven passes for 91 yards despite missing part of the second half while being evaluated for a concussion.

One note about Adams’ touchdown. After the flub in the first half when rookie Malachi Corley dropped the football before entering the end zone, it was a bit reckless for the veteran wideout to begin his celebration prematurely.

C.J. Stroud was without top wideouts Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. The second-year QB had his second off game in the last three, completing 11-of-30-passes for 191 yards..

Tank Dell had six catches for 126 yards, including a 50-yarder.
