The Jets have officially ruled out quarterback Aaron Rodgers with an ankle injury. Rodgers injured his ankle early in the first quarter after a sack from Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd. He was taken to the blue medical tent and then carted to the locker room.
He left the X-ray room and remained with a boot on his foot. The good news is that the X-rays were negative, but his day is done. Zach Wilson is in at quarterback. As a reminder, only Rodgers and Wilson were on the active roster. Tim Boyle is still on the practice squad.
The hope is that the injury is not serious, especially considering it was his ankle and X-rays were negative. We’ll update as more news becomes available.
