Aaron Rodgers injures ankle on 1st drive with Jets, carted to locker room

The worst possible start for the Jets.

The dreams for Jets fans coming into the season took all of about five minutes of game time to potentially turn into nightmares. Aaron Rodgers was hurt and helped off the field by trainers early in the first quarter after a sack by Leonard Floyd of the Bills. Rodgers is questionable to return with an ankle injury.

On a first down from the Jets 43, Rodgers was pressured from the blindside after Floyd got around Duane Brown and brought down Rodgers. Rodgers then stayed down and needed help coming off the field and was immediately taken to the blue medical tent.

A cart came to take Rodgers back to the locker room. You hope this is all just precautionary and we will keep positive thoughts that Rodgers is ok. Zach Wilson is now in the game at quarterback for the Jets.

Update: Rodgers went for X-rays, has returned to the locker room and remains in a boot.
