Aaron Rodgers made it clear not long after joining the Jets that this wasn’t going to be a one-year experiment in New York, even before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 1. Now, he sounds like a quarterback who wants to play a few more years, despite being a 40-year-old coming off an Achilles injury.
Rodgers recently appeared on the podcast “Look Into It with Eddie Bravo” and discussed how much longer he believes he can play in the NFL.
“I got back on the practice field late in the season and couldn’t get to a top speed sprinting, but really been in a good place rehab-wise, from the start, and feeling really good,” Rodgers told Bravo, via CBS Sports’ John Breech. “I’m hopeful I can play two or three or four more years, but you need to have some good fortune in there too.”

Rodgers is locked in for 2024, while his contract includes an option for $35 million in 2025. If he plays out this contract, he’d be 42 years old. He has said previously he would like to play at least two more years. Time will tell if he makes it to three or even four more.
