For months, it seemed like Aaron Rodgers was on his way out of Green Bay. But in a surprise move at the start of training camp, the Packers and Rodgers were able to come to an agreement to keep the reigning MVP around for at least one more season.
Upon reporting to training camp, Rodgers opened up on many of the issues he had with the Packers in an unfiltered press conference. Among those grievances was how his input on personnel wasn’t taken into consideration by the front office. Rodgers mentioned how he praised wide receiver Jake Kumerow last year only to see the Packers release Kumerow at the end of camp. Kumerow would sign with the Buffalo Bills.
Well, those sour memories all led to a great exchange during Wednesday’s press conference when Rodgers praised reserve tight end Bronson Kaufusi.
Aaron Rodgers recently told @peter_king he loves TE6 Bronson Kaufusi.

ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky said to Rodgers during the presser, “I can’t wait to see what Kaufusi does in Buffalo this year.” Because if Rodgers praises a player, you can expect the Packers to release said player.
That hit Rodgers to his core. He said, “Jeez.” And tried to hold back the laughter, but you could tell that Rodgers didn’t see the joke coming at all.
Could. Not. Resist. https://t.co/U1nGdRFHW4

Rodgers has to give Rob some credit for that jab. It was a good one.
