Aaron Rodgers congratulates Jordan Love on becoming NFL’s highest paid player

“I want to give a shoutout to Jordan Love becoming the highest paid player in the NFL,” Rodgers said on NFL Network Saturday.

Two short years ago, the Green Bay Packers made Aaron Rodgers the NFL’s highest paid player. Fast forward to today, and Rodgers is now congratulating the NFL’s new top dog — Jordan Love.

The future Hall of Famer gave a quick shoutout to Love — and the new, $220 million deal he received from the Packers — while on NFL Network on Saturday.

“I want to give a shoutout to Jordan Love becoming the highest paid player in the NFL. J-Love, don’t spend it all in one place. But if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay up for sale,” Rodgers said, laughing.

Love officially signed the new contract before practice on Saturday morning.

Here’s the clip of Rodgers on NFL Network:

“Somebody will buy it, but probably not me,” Love said Saturday.

Love said Rodgers reached out privately on Friday night after news broke.

Love’s new deal averages $55 million per year and included an NFL record $75 million signing bonus.

Rodgers, who missed all but four snaps last season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon, is returning to the Jets for his second season in New York in 2024.
