Aaron Rodgers and a ‘Jeopardy!’ contestant have a funny exchange about being ‘football cousins’

“So we’re football cousins.”

Aaron Rodgers’ tenure as a Jeopardy! guest host has, so far, included a contestant taking a swipe at the Green Bay Packers’ playoff loss.

Thursday’s episode had one of those classic mid-first round exchanges between contestant and host, in which the former tells an amusing story to the latter.

This one is pretty funny — Pasquale the financial services professional from New York claims that he and Rodgers have, as the QB puts it, “an interesting football connection.”

The contestant then basically plays Six Degrees of Separation (or Kevin Bacon) with football coaches, connecting himself to the great Vince Lombardi.

“So we’re football cousins,” Pasquale says.

“Four degrees of separation there,” Rodgers says with a smirk.

“Hey, it’s better than six!” Pasquale counters.

Well played on both sides.
