Aaron Donald is ‘tired of guessing and not knowing’ when football will return

Aaron Donald just wants to know when he can start playing again.

Even though the coronavirus isn’t exactly going away, as time goes on, we hopefully move closer to the return of football. The NBA and MLB seasons will get underway in July, and later in the month, teams are expected to return to their facilities for training camp.

For the Rams, they’ve targeted July 28 as a starting date for all players to arrive for camp, which gives them very little time before the preseason is scheduled to begin. Of course, everything is tentative right now and the NFL is discussing with the NFLPA the possibility of shortening the preseason by two weeks, but that’s how the calendar is looking at the moment.

Aaron Donald has been working hard all offseason and he’s itching to get back on the field. He can’t wait for training camp to start, but more importantly, he just wants some clarity as to when everything will begin.

“I was just talking to a couple people with the Rams. I think everybody’s mindset is still, we start in July around camp. I just don’t know how they’re going to do camp just because all the situations,” Donald said on his YouTube channel. “I know a lot of guys that aren’t able to train and do much but I think everybody’s mindset as far as the organization, coaches, players, we’re going to start sometime around July – normal camp days, so. We won’t know until they tell us, but that’s what it’s looking like just from hearing from different people. I’m just ready to get back working, man, doing something. I’m just ready for some dates, though. I’m tired of guessing and not knowing, but ain’t much we can do now but just wait.”

Donald said this while on a private jet with his family en route to Los Angeles. He’s been in L.A. for more than a week now and has been working out with the likes of Sebastian Joseph-Day, Morgan Fox, Greg Gaines, Cooper Kupp and Michael Brockers.

They haven’t been doing much on-field work, but they’re still building muscle and staying in shape ahead of camp.
