Aaron Donald is still receiving votes as a top NFL player for 2024 despite being retired

Aaron Donald is still on multiple ballots for NFL Network’s Top 100 Players for 2024 despite retiring four months ago

Aaron Donald retired from the NFL four months ago, calling it a career after 10 seasons. He’s expressed no interest in returning and is happily enjoying his retirement endeavors – which still include working out regularly.

Apparently, some NFL players didn’t get the memo that he retired back in March. NFL Films shared images of four players’ ballots for the Top 100 Players for 2024 and Donald appeared on two of them. One player voted him fourth behind only Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, while another put Donald 18th.

So either those two players didn’t know Donald retired or NFL Network polled players before Donald retired – the latter of which would be a better explanation.

Donald won’t appear on the final Top 100 Players list, which will be unveiled on NFL Network next week, but it’s pretty funny that two voters put Donald in their top 20.

It’s not as funny as someone putting Baker Mayfield in the top 20, though.
